Lake Charm Warm-Up Weekend:
Traditionally the Club organises a warm-up event over the Melbourne Cup weekend at Lake Charm.  This event is scheduled to proceed as normal from Saturday 28th October to 1st November. More information on details can be obtained from the Commodore, Chris Hordern: chris.hordern@gmail.com

Working Bee:
The first Club working bee for the season is scheduled for 9th October. The tasks will be to lay down the launching mats, prepare and rig the Hobie Waves and prepare the site and storage areas for the forthcoming season.  In addition, there will be a training session for the launching of the RIB and instruction in the responsibilities of Officer-of-the-Day.

Start of Sailing Season:
There will be a social sailing event along with an introduction to the Sailing School on Sunday 16th October.  Club racing will start on 6th November with the start of the Spring Series.  Details of the sailing events will be found in the Sailing Calendar.  Boats may be returned to the storage sites from 21st September once fees are paid.

Social Sailing on Tuesday Afternoons:
The Club is keen to promote the social aspects of the Club and for members to make full use of the facilities. It is hoped that during the forthcoming season with Covid restrictions finally lifted members can participate in a social sail on Tuesday afternoons and gather for a drink or two afterwards. You can let other members know if you are sailing by dropping a post on the Club’s Facebook page.

Packed up for winter

5/6/2022

Comments

A friendly reminder to all the unfortunately the time has come to pack up for the winter break. As we know, all boats must be removed from the club over winter as per GORCC. Progress is still being made on any possibility of limited winter storage.
